Third RAAF F-35 Makes First Flight

05 Desember 2017 A35-003 takes off from Fort Worth. (photo : AustralianAviationCarl Richards) The Royal Australian Air Force’s third F-35A Lightning II, A35-003, has completed its first flight. Photographer Carl Richards captured these images of A35-003 taking off on its first flight, from Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, on December 1. The aircraft is due to be delivered to Luke Air Force Base, Arizona in early 2018 to be used for pilot and maintainer training, before being permanently relocated to Australia in 2020. A35-003, known to its manufacturer Lockheed Martin as AU-3, had its RAAF markings, including its 3 Squadron tail flashes, applied in early November, the final phase of the aircraft’s production process. 3 Squadron is due to become the first RAAF F-35 operational unit. South Korea will Deliver T-50TH Fighter Training Aircraft to the Royal Thai Air Force in 2018-2019

02 Desember 2017 KAI T-50TH (photo : AAG) Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) has displayed model of FA-50 Multi Role Aircraft and KUH-1 Multi Purpose Utility Helicopter, and photo of KAI T-50TH Lead-In Fighter Trainer for Royal Thai Air Force during Defense and Security 2017 exhibition in Bangkok. Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI), Republic of Korea, said the delivery schedule for the KAI T-50TH 1st and 4th Phase to Royal Thai Air Force will be held in March 2018 and October 2019 respectively, a ccording to the company's representatives at the Defense and Security 2017 exhibition at the Impact Exhibition Center, Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok, Thailand, 6-9 November. The Royal Thai Air Force has signed a contract to supply a range of 3,700 million baht ($ 108 million) of T-50TH Golden Eagle ($ 108 million) fighter trainer aircraft on September 17, 2015. Alpha Jets Commence Red Air Support for RAAF Training

The First Pictures of Two Myanmar Air Force Yak-130 Trainer Jets

20 November 2017 Yak-130 of the Myanmar Air Force (photo : Myanmar Defence Weapons) The Facebook page Myanmar Defence Weapons posted the first photos of two Yak-130 training aircraft, obtained by the Myanmar Air Force from Russia. The aircraft number are "1805" and "1806", which confirms the delivery of six Yak-130 vehicles to the Myanmar Air Force. Earlier, on November 8, Deputy Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of Russia, Mikhail Petukhov stated  "Russia has delivered six Yakovlev Yak-130 combat training aircraft to Myanmar under the 2015 contract and expects to supply an additional batch in 2018". The contract on the delivery of Yak-130 combat trainers to Myanmar was signed in 2015. The first three planes were delivered in 2016 and the other three in 2017. Japan to Donate 5 Navy Training Aircraft to Philippines

27 Oktober 2017 This is one of the two Beechcraft TC-90 training aircraft that Japan's Ministry of Defense is giving to the Philippine military (photo : Nikkei) TOKYO -- Japan will give five military training aircraft to the Philippines at the end of March 2018 to help bolster the Southeast Asian country's ability to protect its coast, Japan's Ministry of Defense said Wednesday.  The deal follows a change in Japanese law during the last ordinary session of parliament that paved the way for donating secondhand defense equipment to developing countries. In addition to two TC-90 planes currently on lease to the Philippines, three more that were scheduled to be leased from next March will also be handed over for free. The Philippines approached Japan with a request to switch from a leasing arrangement to one where it would acquire the naval planes free of charge, according to Japan's Acquisition, Technology & Logistics Agency.
